Four killed in incidents

Four people were killed in separate incidents in Sadar, Faridganj and Shahrasti  upazilas of the district on Tuesday.
Of them, two were electrocuted while two others drowned in canal and pond .
The deceased were identified as Reyad Khan, 22, of Ramdasdi Bohoria village in Sadar upazila,  Halima Begum, 48, of Khajuria village and  Reshma Akter ,17, of Lorairchar village in Faridganj upazila and  a 12- year- old Ridoy- son of Anwar Hossain of   Nij Mehar village under Shahrasti upazila.
Reyad Khan of Sadar upazila got electrocuted at  his home while he was  repairing an electric line. He was sent to Chandpur General Hospital where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
On the same day Halima of Faridganj upazila while spreading her wet sari on cloth line on the roof of her house came in contact with a live electric wire and got electrocuted.
She was sent to the local health complex where the on- duty doctor declared her dead.
Faridganj police recovered the body of a teenage girl from a canal adjacent to  Rampur Bazar in the upazila on the same day.
On being informed, Sub Inspector Iqbal Hossain  rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
She was identified as Reshma Akter,17,  adopted daughter of  Md Sattar Munshi of Lorairchar village in the same upazila.
Police sent the body to Chandpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Family source said, the girl was suffering from epilepsy and so she might have drowned in the said canal.
Ridoy of Shahrasti upazila, while playing with his friends near the pond of the health complex, suddenly slipped and drowned.
