1,099 train passengers fined

A total of 1,099 train passengers were fined on charge of traveling without tickets on Bhairab Railway Station yesterday.

Tk 2, 02,535 in fines was collected from the passengers as fined.
Conducting a special drive from morning to evening in different trains the passengers were fined for travelling without tickets, said Md Omar Faruk, Assistant Superintendent of Police Railway Dhaka Zone.
“The drive was conducted in 11 on-bound and out bound trains at Bhairab Railway Station while Railway Divisional Commercial Officer, police were present,” added Faruk.
