Youth held with Indian rupees in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested a young man along with 6,750 Indian rupees from Sadipur village of Benapole municipality on Tuesday night, reports UNB from Benapole.
The arrestee was identified as Ramzan Ali, 26, son of Ahsan Ali, a resident of Saluda village in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj district.
Subedar Ayub Hossain of BGB 26 battalion said being tipped off, a team of BGB launched a drive in the area at night and arrested Ramzan along with the Indian rupees.
Ramzan entered the area illegally from India through the border, added the BGB official. Later the arrestee was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. A case was filed in this connection.
