Train kills man in Jamalpur

A man was crushed to death under the wheels of a train in sadar upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased was identified as Kubbat Ali, 45, hailed from Sharifpur village of the upazila. Railway police said the accident took place in the upazila area when an intercity train ‘Testa’ from Dhaka hit Ali while he was crossing the rail tracks with his goats, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
