KHULNA: The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has realised Tk 2.38 lakh through 15 mobile courts from different shops for selling adulterated foods and not using digital weighing machines in last February, reports BSS.
The mobile court conducted drives at different bakeries, factories, fruits and grocery shops, departmental store, kitchen markets, clothes and jewellery shops, and petrol pumps at Jessore, Kushtia, Magura, Meherpur, Satkhira, Chuadanga and Khulna, said a press release.
Director of BSTI Md Abdul Mannan said, a total of 27 cases have been filed against shop owners and later minimized the cases through realidation of compensation money.
