Celebrated singer Samina Chowdhury and young talented singer Shwapnil Shojib have paid tribute to mother and motherland through a Tagore song. The artistes have come up with the song titled ‘Sei Sokol Soha Sokol Boha Matar Mata’ on the occasion of the 46th Independence Day of Bangladesh. Independence Award-winning noted sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini has participated in the music video of the song. The music video is set to hit different TV channels today on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Samina Chowdhury said about the song, “I have always been inspired by the verses of Rabindranath Tagore. Through the song, profound respect has been paid to the motherland and to the female freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and dignity during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. I am really excited with this exclusive initiative taken by Shwapnil Shojib.”
Ferdousi Priyabhashini said, “When I listened to the song, I could not stop the tears falling from my eyes.”
The music arrangement of the song has been done by Indian music director Prodyot, while the video has been produced by Delvestaa Foundation.
The music video is directed by Barna Chakraborty and Safayet Badhon.
