The well-known South Korean company, LG Electronics, has pledged to make more investments in Bangladesh, which would facilitate the introduction of new products of the company soon into Bangladesh’s markets.

This was announced at the LG conference at Jeju Island in South Korea, which started yesterday. LG delegations from across Asia participated with the aim of displaying and marketing brand-new products in 2017.
LG is a popular name worldwide for electronic products and South Korea’s LG, in collaboration with Bangladesh Butterfly Marketing Ltd, has been doing business here for 25 years.
This conference, LG InnoFest2017, held at Jeju Island, some 450 km from the South Korean capital of Seoul, has opened up a window of opportunities for Bangladesh in electronic products.
LG-Butterfly officials have said these electronic products would be available in Bangladesh, considering the huge demand in the country.
LG Electronics Bangladesh managing director Edward Kim said, “We have brought new products to the market, considering the demands of the customers of Asia. Our market in Bangladesh is expanding rapidly. Our products are sold at reasonable prices. We are interested in offering new products to the customers in Bangladesh.”
LG-Butterfly Bangladesh chairman MA Mannan said, “We are bringing new models and products every year. There are many good companies in the world, but they can’t compete with our advanced technology.”
This year LG is displaying new products at the exhibition in Jeju Island. Among these, the Alex Robot is outstanding. This robot is not a normal robot: rather, it does household chores on its own, and answers others’ questions.
Moreover, LG’s new brand refrigerators contain modern cameras which would provide information about the condition of the foods inside the refrigerators.
A marketing delegate of LG-Butterfly said, “Our goal is to offer products to customers at reasonable prices, considering the demands of the Bangladeshi people. We have been working in Bangladesh for the last 25 years. The acceptability of LG products has risen to a great extent in Bangladesh.”
