Daffodil Int’l lift trophy

Daffodil International University (DIU) beat Green University of Bangladesh by 66 runs  in the final of  DIU-ACME Inter University T20 Cricket Tournament 2017 on Monday at DIU ground in the capital. 

 Green University won the toss and invited DIU to bat first. Daffodil collected 189 run in stipulated 20 overs losing 5 wickets. Sajal slammed an unbeaten 72, while Saikat scored 52 for the winners. 
In reply Green University were bowled out for 123 runs in 17.2 overs. Sajal of DIU was adjudged ‘Man of the Final’ while Saikat also of Daffodil bagged the ‘Man of the Tournament’. 
The ACME Ltd. was the main sponsor while Tepantor Group was the co-sponsor of the tournament. 
Prof Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU distributed prizes as chief guest. Nazmul Abedin Fahim, national manager (Game Development of BCB), Prof Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean, Permanent Campus and Mahabubul Ameen, Head of Marketing, The ACME Ltd were also present.
