The indoor (in-patients) service of the Institute of Paediatric Neurodisorder and Autism (IPNA) in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) was launched yesterday for the children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, says a press release.
The aim of the in-patients service is to provide better management for the children with autism coming from different corners of the country.
Vice-chancellor of BSMMU Prof Kamrul Hasan Khan inaugurated the service at a programme at IPNA seminar room.
Registrar Prof ABM Abdul Hannan, Treasurer Prof Mohammad Ali Asgar Morol, Proctor Prof Habibur Rahman of BSMMU, Prof Shahidullah, Chairman, Bangladesh Paediatric Association (BPA), IPNA Director Prof Shaheen Akhter, Prof Mizanur Rahman, Chairman, Paediatric Neurology department, Brig Gen Al Harun, director, BSMMU were present, among others at the occasion.
