BAU students stage demo for water

The students of a male residential hall of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) staged demonstration on the campus yesterday due to lack of water supply in their dormitory.

The students of Isha Khan Hall around 5pm yesterday gathered in front of students affairs’ adviser office and uttered slogans demanding uninterrupted water supply in their dormitory.
The demonstrating students said that they have been facing water crisis for two months and absence of water supply for last 3 days.
Provost of the hall Prof Dr Md Zakir Hossen said the water crisis caused due to problem in the water pump. 
He informed the matter to engineering section of the university but has not got any solution. 
He said that the university administration have talked with the engineers of the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogra with a view to solve the problem. 
He hoped that the water crisis will come to an end very soon.
