Sylhet: Two more accused yesterday reportedly made their ‘confessional’ statements separately about their involvement in the killing of Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon in Kumargaon area of the city on July 8, reports UNB.
The statements of Dulal Ahmed and Nur Ahmed were recorded at the court of Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Anwarul Haque in the afternoon.
Assistant commissioner (prosecution) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Abdul Ahad said they made their confession under the section 164 of the penal code.
On Monday, another accused, Moyna Miah, made his ‘confessional’ statements to his involvement in the murder.
On July 8, 13-year-old boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon, son of Sheikh Azizur Rahman of Badeali village in Sadar upazila, was brutally tortured to death over a theft at Sundar Ali Market in Kumargaon area of the city.
The killers themselves took the video footage of the incident and uploaded it on the internet. The video clip went viral on social networking site Facebook and video-sharing site Youtube which triggered a widespread outcry.
