Seven members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were injured as a truck carrying them overturned on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Raipur Nathbari area of Daudkandi upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB. The injured--Saidur, 43, Imran,34, Jakir Hossain, 42, Anwar Hossain, 23, Abu Sayed, 49, Fardin Islam, 22,and Abdur Rashid,30, of Chittagong BGB—were admitted to Combined Military Hospital(CMH) in Comilla.
Md Abdul Awak, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Highway Police Camp, said that the truck carrying a team of BGB members turned turtle around 11 am as a wheel of the truck got punctured, leaving seven of them injured.
On information, a unit of Daudkandi fire service rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.
