A man was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Gharindha in Sadar upazila early yesterday. Quoting family members, Nazmul Hoque Bhuyan, officer-in-charge of Tangail Model Police Station, said Harun Khan, 35, of Paikora village in Kalihati upazila, went out of their house on Friday evening and did not return home at night. Locals found the body of Harun lying on the bank of Louhajong River in the morning and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Tangail Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Harun might have been killed by miscreants over previous enmity, the OC added. A case was filed.
