Online VAT registration begins this month

National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Nojibur Rahman yesterday said online VAT registration system will begin this month as part of their effort to establish 
people-friendly tax system, reports BSS.
"Businessmen have been asked to register with online system, as the Prime Minister would inaugurate the registration process this month," he said while addressing a shadow parliament on income tax management at FDC auditorium organized by Debate for Democracy.
Mentioning that the new VAT Law would be enacted in July 1, the NBR Chairman said income tax, VAT and Customs law has been updated to establish a pro-people tax system in the country.9
