Fast bowler Mohammad Shahid returned home from Melbourne in Australia in early hours of Saturday night, eight days after his operation on his injured left knee which ended successfully.
He will be rested for the next one month and then his rehabilitation will be started under the former national team’s physio Baijadul Islam.
“Mashallah, the operation on my left knee has been done successfully. I will do my rehab procedure just one month after the operation,” said Mohammad Shahid.
“So far I am informed from the board, Baijid (ul Islam) will look after my rehab procedure,” Shahid. told The Independent over mobile phone.
Australian surgeon David Young did the operation on February 24 and discharged him from hospital on Friday.
The right-arm pacer has been out of action ever since he suffered an ACL tear injury on his knee in late November last year while fielding for his side Dhaka Dynamites against Comilla Victorians during the 2016 Bangladesh Premier League. He was kept under observation for a few weeks as per the guidelines of the BCB’s medical team.
