IU BEd course admission test results published   
KUSHTIA: The results of Bachelor of Education (B Ed) course admission test of the Institution of Islamic Education and Research (IIER) under Islamic University (IU) have been published.
Director of IIER Prof Dr M Maher Ali said on Saturday that the admission seekers can view their results from the university website at www.iu.ac.bd.

Cultural programme held at BAU 
MYMENSINGH: A cultural organisation of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) named ‘Trivuj’ staged a cultural programme on the campus on Friday night.
BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Ali Akbar inaugurated the programme named ‘Troyee-11’, held at the Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium of BAU.
The programme began by showing two documentaries on language movement and the great liberation war of our country performed by the Trivuj activists.
The programme was also furnished with songs, dances, short drama, choreography and fashion show in where BAU students took part.
Earlier, the organiaation brought out an anti-drug rally from the helipad premises on the campus that ended at the Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium.  
An auditorium full audience including BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Ali Akbar and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Josimuddin Khan enjoyed the cultural programme.

Inter-university nat’l competition on robotics held at  MIST 
An inter-university national competition on robotics ‘Robolution 2017’ commenced at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) at Mirpur Cantonment in the capital on Saturday, says a press release.
Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman was the chief guest. The Minister said Robolution competition is a platform where every technical enthusiast can show their skills. It is a huge gathering of students from all around Bangladesh who have a passion for technology and robotics. 
This type of competition has scope to build bridge among the engineers for fulfilling the dream of digital Bangladesh.
He also said considering the current state of the dynamic world, the significance of advancement in the Robotics cannot be stressed enough. Today’s world is moving faster without any break to achieve the goals that crosses our imagination and it has been possible only by the non-stoppable enrichment of technology which includes the advancement of robotics.  Total 1300 students from 37 different educational institution participated in this competition. Participants joined in 7 segments including Line Follower Racing, Battle of Bots, Solid works design, Project showcasing, Poster presentation, Quad Copter challenge & Rubik’s cube.
Mr Munir Hasan, Youth Program co-ordinator, Prothom Alo and General Secretary, Bangladesh Math Olympiad committee was the special guest. 
Commandant MIST Maj Gen Md Abul Khair and other high officials were present in the inauguration session.
