CHITTAGONG: A rickshaw-puller was killed in a road accident at city's West Madarbari area on Saturday morning, reports BSS.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rafique, 50, hailed from Bhola district.
Police said Rafique was critically injured after a speedy covered-van knocked him from behind at Panir Tanky area of West Madarbari under city's Sadarghat thana around 9.15am.
Locals rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Nayek Kanchan Barua of CMCH police outpost. The body was sent to the morgue for autopsy.
