2nd National Cancer Confce in city today

Health professionals in different branches of oncology, cancer survivors and social leaders will sit together to discuss ways for cancer control as the 2nd National Cancer Conference (NCC2017) will be held in the capital today, reports BSS. The conference will begin at 10am at Dr Milon Hall at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), said a press release yesterday.
BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Kamrul Hasan Khan will attend the inaugural session of the conference as chief guest while the Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to senior oncologist Professor M A Hai.
The daylong cancer conference is an exceptional program where not only oncologists, but also doctors and other health professionals working in different branches of oncology, cancer patients and relatives, cancer survivors, activist for cancer prevention, social leaders will sit together for an effective dialogue for cancer control.
In addition to about 20 scientific papers on cancer diagnosis and treatment in four scientific sessions, important but usually neglected issues will be discussed in the conference.
