Suspected JMB man arrested

Chapainawabganj: Police arrested a suspected member of the banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) along with seven crude bombs from Nejampur in Nachole upazila on Wednesday night, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Nazmul Islam, 51, son of Wazed, a resident of Hajaridanga village in Shibganj upazila. Tipped off that Nazmul along with his associates was holding a secret meeting in the area, a team of police conducted a drive there around 10.00pm, said Fasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Nachol Police Station. The law enforcers arrested Nazmul while his associates managed to flee the scene. Police also recovered seven crude bombs from the spot. A case was filed.
