‘No extrajudicial killing in country’

UNB

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan yesterday told parliament that no extrajudicial killing is taking place in the country as the government is determined to establish the rule of law, reports UNB.
"No extrajudicial killing takes place in Bangladesh. The present democratic government is determined to protect the basic human rights and establish the rule of law," he said replying to a tabled question from Workers Party MP Hazera Khatun (Women Seat-39).
The present government in no way supports or promotes extrajudicial killing while it shows a 'zero tolerance' stance in case of any deviation from lawful duty and responsibility, the minister said.
