2 ‘robbers’ arrested in B’baria

Brahmanbaria: Police arrested two alleged robbers from the Meghna river in Nabinagar upazila on Saturday night, reports UNB. The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Jewel, 22, of Noagaon Beparipara in Kuliarchar upazila and Shukkur Miah, 20, of Bhoirabpur in Bhoirab upazila of Kishoreganj district. Police said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo while a gang of robbers, including the duo, was taking preparation for committing robbery at night. However, other members of the gang managed to flee the scene. A case was filed in this connection.
