Shaon files case against vlogger under ICT Act

Meher Afroz Shaon, an actress and wife of late Humayun Ahmed, filed a case against an US expatriate and vlogger (video blogger) Bunty Mir on charges of circulating offensive posts against her using the social networking sites, reports BSS. The case was lodged under Information Communication Technology (ICT) Act with Dhanmondi Police Station, officer-in-charge of Abdul Latif told the news agency yesterday. A general diary (GD) was earlier filed to this end. In the case details, it was alleged that Bunty has been spreading ugly, false, and baseless rumours about Shaon through social networking sites such as facebook and youtube. The accused also threatened to kill Shaon.
