Shah Fazlul Karim, a retired civil servant of UK government, died of old age complications at a hospital in the capital on Friday. He was 81.
He left behind wife Arja Kaarina Karim, sons Ismail Shah Toivo Karim and Ismat Shah Vilho Karim and a host of relatives and friends in Bangladesh and abroad to mourn his death, says a press release.
Karim was buried at his family graveyard on Tajmahal Road at Mohammadpur in the capital on Saturday following his namaz-e-janaza after Zohr prayer at Minar Mosque in Mohammadpur area.
Karim was born to Md Israil Shah, a former police official, and Anwara Akhter Khatoon in 1935 in Bangladesh.
