A SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examinee was stabbed to death early yesterday allegedly by a rival group in the city.

The deceased was identified as Wachhinur Rahman Adil, 15, son of Badiul Alam Bachchu, a resident of Dewanbazar area and a student of Chittagong Ideal School & College. He appeared in SSC examination from the school from Science Group this year.
Police said victim’s father Badiul Alam Bachhu and one Shahnewaz and Sarwar have tin-shed rented house at the city’s Rajakhali Master Colony.
On Friday Alamgir, a tenant of Shahnewaz scuffled with some workers while working at the side of Badiul Alam Bachchu.
Being informed Bachchu and his son Adil rushed to the spot, said police. “Alamgir called upon more people who rushed to the spot with sharp-weapons. Adil was come ‘under attack’ by the men when he tried to stop them,” said sub-inspector Mashrul Haque of Bakalia police station.
The injured Adil and his father were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at around 9pm later they were admitted to a private hospital.  Adil died the clinic early yesterday, said Mashrul Haque. The students of Chittagong Ideal School & College staged demonstration taking to the street in front of Chittagong Press Club at Zamal Khan area yesterday.
