EMK Moves will present a dance recital titled ‘Din Din Protidin’ by Samina Hossain Prema tomorrow at 7pm at the EMK Center in the capital. ‘Din Din Protidin’ will explore the ways in which urban and rural communities help each other and society through their individual hard work, leading to healthy and happy lives for all. The dance recital is set to portray the daily lives of the urban and rural work forces, across demographics and disciplines. From teachers and doctors to farmers and fishermen, everyone contributes to the continued prosperity and the progress of society. The program will follow several of these workers as they wake up on an ordinary day, brush their teeth, eat their breakfasts and go to their jobs. Each individual contributes to society, no matter how small or large their job is. Villages and cities are linked closely to each other and the progress one makes affects the other. Together they make up the eclectic patchwork of dreams and ideas that form the bedrock of human civilization and fuel its growth.
The organizers said, “Our goal is to honour their hard work and show where each professional and labourer draws his or her inspiration from. We hope to promote a greater understanding of urban and rural values, how they work in tandem to sustain our society and foster the idea that by doing our part, we can lead our cities and lives towards a brighter future.”
Tickets will be available at the gate before the show at the price of BDT 100.
This program is under EMK Moves. EMK Moves is an EMK initiative to feature young and talented individuals or groups in arts, culture and performances. EMK Center is here to connect and to inspire.
