A Bangladeshi real estate businessman was stabbed to death near his home in Bronx, New York city on Wednesday, reports UNB from Sylhet. Zakir Khan, 44, who hails from Pathantila village in Fenchuganj uapzila of the district and owner of Parkchester Real Estate company in New York, was stabbed allegedly by his house owner there around 6 pm (NY time), according to his relatives here.
Zakir was taken to Jacobi Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Quoting a New York newspaper, ‘Bronx’, police said the murder took place following enmity between the owner and the tenant.
Meanwhile, police arrested the house owner.
