Apart from Chittagong Abahani Limited, rest of three teams of Group B, including Mohammedan Sporting Club (Dhaka) are in do or die situation in Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup to qualify in the semifinal when the group phase will be concluded today.
Every team of the group have their chance to qualify in the semifinal while only Mohammedan are in bottom of the table with only one point. Now they have no way but to win to play in the semis.
Chittagong Abahani, who are leading the table with four points, draw is very much essential for them to confirm their qualification in the knock out stage but coach Saiful Bari Titu does not think nothing but win the match.
On the other hands the counter part of Titu, coach of the Manang Marshyangdi team, Chhiring Lopsang Gurung said that as all the teams have chance to play in the semifinal, every team is concerned about and will fight to win the match.
“As all the teams have chance to play in the last fours, nobody will leave any space for others but will try to win. In every 90 minutes match, teams create some scoring opportunities, in this stage chances should be utilized to win match,” said Chhiring at their hotel.
Mohammedan Sporting Club, who bounced back after forcing Chittagong Abahani to share points to have a lifeline to play in the semifinal, will have to win the last match of the group against Shaheen Amayee of Afghanistan today.
Abdul Kayum Sentu, coach of Mohammedan, said, “You know, now we have no option in our hands but win the match to play in the semifinal. Now we will have to give our best to win the match.”
“In fact Bangladesh players can’t keep the continuity, if the players can keep up the momentum of the last match, they played against Chittagong Abahani, then there is possibility for us.”

Even though the Sri Lankan team is going through a transition period, Bangladesh would have to face tough challenge there because of the hosts’ superior record at their home den. After the retirement…
