The broader price index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) yesterday finished 5,625 points mark again on higher transaction of large cap securities after January
26 when it closed at 5,618.64 points, reports BSS.
The broader DSEX of DSE finished the day 20.83 points or 0.37 per cent up at 5,625. Of the two selective indices - DS30 finished the
session 7.49 points or 0.37 per cent up to close 2033.46 points while DSES dropped marginally by 0.058 points or 0.0043 per cent to close at 1313.14 points. Majority of the issues traded on DSE closed the session up on moderate demand. Out of the 328 issues traded on DSE, 139 gained against 137 losing issues while 52 remained unchanged.
The trade value at DSE increased to Tk 1,309.15 crore from the previous session of Tk 1297.94 crore while 32.10 crore shares changed hands.
The day’s major gainers considering the closing price were Padma Oil, Lankabangla Finance, Fortune, GPH Ispat, Premier Cement and Beximco. The major losers included Prime Finance, ICB1st NRB, Apex Spinning and Imambutton.
On the port city bourse-Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the session up, with its major CASPI index ending 31 points higher at 10570.
At CSE, out of the 255 issues traded, 110 issued higher against 111 issued lower while 34 remained unchanged.
At the end of the day’s session, the turnover value stood at above Tk 80.32 crore.
