End violence against children, says speakers

BSS

RAJSHAHI: There is no alternative to creating mass awareness to prevent all sorts of repressions and violence against children for transforming them into worthy citizens, said development activists at a roundtable discussion here yesterday, reports BSS.
They viewed all of us should raise voice and work together to address the social problem collectively as only the government or any other single organisation cannot bring any positive result in this regard.
Lady’s Organisation for Social Welfare (LOFS) and World Vision Bangladesh jointly organized the meeting titled “Our Duties to Prevent Child Repression” at a city restaurant.
With LOFS Vice president Azizur Rahman in the chair, Assistant Professor Mustafizur Rahman from Department of Anthropology in Rajshahi University, Upazila Social Service Officer Abu Taher, and Executive Director of LOFS Shahnaz Parveen Luckey and ADP Manager of World Vision Debashish Snul addressed the discussion as guests of honour.
