Couple found hanged

GAZIPUR: A couple who were allegedly involved in an extramarital relationship was found hanging at a house in Kamarjuri area of the city early Wednesday, reports UNB.
The victims are Sajedul Islam, 28, son of Golam Bari of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram district, and Hanufa Begum, 22, daughter of Hanif of Sadar upazila in Jhalakati district.
Abdur Rahman, sub-inspector of Joydebpur Police Station, said garment worker Sajedul, who used to live at a rented house along with his family, developed an illicit relationship with his colleague Hanufa. On Tuesday night, Sajedul invited Hanufa to his house in the absence of his wife. Sajedul's friend Alamgir went to the house in the early hours of Wednesday and called him from outside and did not receive any response.
