A hawker was stabbed to death and another injured in an attack allegedly by one of their fellows in the capital’s New Market area on Wednesday over a trifling matter, reports UNB.
Police said Khokon Mollah, 30, and Shahabuddin had an altercation while taking lunch at a restaurant around 3pm.
At one stage, Shahabuddin hit Khokon and Babul Bepari with a sharp weapon, leaving them critically injured, said Maruf Hossain Sordar, deputy commissioner (Ramna) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
