From childhood I have seen our players getting acknowledged in global arena and representing Bangladesh. Years passed by, and due to the advancement of technology and social media, have witness more and more events like this. Be it Olympic, cricket, mountain climbing, movies or any other field. Yes, as a Bangladeshi always felt proud and honored. When I look back to my life now, I wonder have I ever dreamt of bringing that kind of honor for my country by myself? Maybe not, maybe I thought the field I am working in, I will never get that kind of opportunity. Then again, Life is full of mystery. You never know when what door will open for you and at a time when it is less expected. That’s exactly what happened with me. 15th February’2017 will remain as one of the best memorable days of my life, not because my work got recognised in global platform. It has more to do with the pride I felt, when my name was announced and I heard my country’s name ‘Bangladesh’. And the loud cheers which my peers were giving added the extra energy. Representing your own country in front of 1400 delegates from all over the globe, the feeling is something which I can’t explain. In my own way, I made tiny contribution to make my country proud by receiving the award as “100 MOST INFLUENTIAL GLOBAL HR PROFESSIONALS’ WORLD HRD CONGRESS celebrated its 25TH SILVER JUBILEE YEAR IN 2017 at Mumbai, Taj Land End hotel. Over 133 Countries, several organizations, over 1400 Leaders joined at the congress. The special feature of the Congress were the "GLOBAL HR EXCELLENCE AWARDS" which recognized Individuals and acknowledgement Organizations for a professional cause in various award categories. The objective at core is benchmarking talent & HR practices.
The 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL GLOBAL HR PROFESSIONALS is intensely researched, research cell consists of Post Graduates in History & Management with over 7 years research experience posts their studies. It is an iconic job of the research cell to produce a shortlist of Individuals who are doing extraordinary work and track the record of their achievements. The shortlist is then reviewed by a Jury comprising of senior professionals from across the globe.
From Bangladesh, few HR Professionals and Trainers got recognized. Besides the award giving ceremonies, there were pre-event activities, 90 sessions on various topics, 208 speakers, panel discussions were going on simultaneously at World HRD congress between 15th to 17th February’17.
Overall it was a great experience to meet HR Leaders across the Globe and expand my knowledge on what’s happening globally in HR field. This is something I will treasure for a long time.
