JnU teacher suspended over ‘sexual harassment’

The authority of the Jagannath University yesterday temporarily suspended one of its teachers over the allegation of sexual harassment of female student. 

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid immediately talked to the Vice-chancellor of the Jagannath University after getting allegation of sexual harassment and directed the authority to take emergency steps, a press release of the ministry said. 
The university authority has formed a probe committee to investigate the matter and to take final measures following the investigation. 
Last year in April the Jagannath University authorities expelled one of its associate professors of Mass Communication and Journalism Department.
