Defence secy calls on president

Defence Secretary Akhtar Hussain Bhuiya yesterday made a courtesy call on President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban, reports BSS.
“During the meeting, the defence secretary apprised the president of the overall activities, specially the overall progress of the proposed Mithamoin Cantonment,” President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told journalists after the meeting yesterday afternoon.
The secretary also highlighted other development activities of the ministry of defence.
Abdul Hamid expressed satisfaction over the overall activities of the ministry and asked to complete all development activities in line with the Forces Goal 2030.
The president also asked him to implement all directives earlier given by the government for the development of the defence ministry.
