3-day diabetic fair begins in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: The three-day 7th Diabetic Fair arranged by Chittagong Diabetic General Hospital (CDGH) began in the city on Thursday with a view to raising awareness about diabetic among people, reports BSS. General Secretary of Chittagong Diabetic Association (CDA) Prof Dr Jahangir Chowdhury inaugurated the fair at around 11am.
CDGH director Dr Nowshed Ahmed Khan, CDA joint secretaries - Engineer Jabed Absar, Shahnewaz Khan and Executive members- Hasan Murad, Dr Sanaullah and advocate Akhter Hossain, among others, addressed the inaugural function.
Organisers said a total of 35 stalls have been set up in the fair in order to provide information, medicine and medical appliance to diabetic patients.
The fair would remain open from 8am to 9pm till February 18, the organisers said.
