Industrial units registered with Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) have been asked to refrain from hiring semi skilled foreign experts or workers against the posts which can easily be filled up by competent local people, reports BSS.
BIDA said a widespread trend is being found regarding hiring of semi skilled foreign experts/workers by industrial units registered with BIDA though those posts can easily be filled-up by competent local people, said a media release.
BIDA would not make visa recommendation or issue work permit for such recruitment initially and if it do so in any
reason, it makes visa recommendation or issue work permit for a period of 3 or 4
months only.
In such a situation, the industrial units concerned will have to submit a plan to
BIDA promising that they would train
up the local people for recruitment against the posts concerned within a specific period of time.
