Stress on students’ practical experience on farm-activities

RANGPUR: Educationists at a filed level co-curricular training programme have stressed on acquiring practical experience by the young students on farm-activities to have adequate knowledge about the country’s agriculture sector, reports BSS. The young students of present days would lead the nation in every sector in future, including agro-based economy, and so why they should have adequate knowledge about agriculture along with modern education and technologies, they mentioned.
They expressed the view at the training programme ‘Come to learn practically’ organised by Samaj Kallyan Bidyabithi Girls’ High School and College for its school section students in village Deodoba in the outskirts of the city on Wednesday afternoon. Led by Principal of the educational institution Mrs Nahid Yasmin, over 240 female students from class six to ten took part in the co-curricular training programme, collected Boro rice seedling from seedbed and transplanted those in a field there.Assistant Professors of the institution Khairul Anam, Matlubar Rahman Shaju and Abdul Mazid, Lecturer Saiful Islam, Senior Teachers Abdul Latif, Abdus Sattar Patwari, Anjuman Ara and Sabiha Khatun, addressed the occasion, among others.
The speakers said Bangladesh had been marching fast toward progress and prosperity on its way to become a middle income nation by 2021 and subsequently, a developed country by 2041, as a role model for global development.
They stressed on proper implementation of the time-befitting education policy of the present government to turn every child into a worthy citizen for building a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The Principal asked the female students to become devoted to their studies and conduct various extracurricular activities and co-curricular educational programmes to acquire practical experience on various sectors to become knowledgeable citizens.
