Armed Police Battalion (APBn) mobile court in a drive in Uttara, on Wednesday fined two organisations and three people Tk 202,000 for various irregularities, including unhygienic and dirty environment, reports BSS.
Sources at the APBn-5 said members of the battalion conducted a drive at an outlet of supermarket Agora in Uttara Sector-4 and fined Tk 1 lakh for selling products without rate chart.
The mobile court also fined Tk 2,000 to SK Pharma as it was running without license from the concerned authorities, said Senior ASP of the APBn-5 Md Saidur Rahman Rubel.
He said the magistrate of the Dhaka North City Corporation Sajid Anwar also fined three individuals-Md Shahin Alam, Md Mahbubur Rahman and Md Nazmul Islam -of Tk 50,000, Tk 25,000 and Tk 25,000 respectively for hampering smooth movement of pedestrians keeping contraction materials in Sector no-6.
