Yunnan teams up with Chia Tai Group

Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Government and Thailand Chia Tai Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement for comprehensively deepening cooperation between the two parties.
According to the agreement, Chia Tai Group, based on both its development strategy and Yunnan provinces economic and social development plan, will make Yunnan a strategic cooperative investment area. The company will strengthen strategic cooperation with the province in the fields of modern plateau agriculture, the manufacture of food and other consumer goods, culture and education, retail trade, bio-medicine, artificial intelligence and other emerging industries. The company will actively participate in the investment and construction of Yunnans cross-border economic cooperation zones and overseas economic and trade cooperation zones to achieve mutual benefit and common development.
Founded in 1921, Thailand Chia Tai Group is a well-known multinational company. It focuses on animal husbandry and food, as well as retail and telecommunications and now does business in nearly 20 countries and regions. The company has established more than 300 enterprises in China and boasts a wide range of enterprises, brands and products. In Yunnan, the company has carried out cooperation with Kunming, Qujing, Dali and other places. The strategic cooperation framework agreement signed between the Yunnan Provincial Government and Chia Tai Group will play a positive role in promoting Yunnan-Thailand cooperation, as well as further bolstering regional cooperation.
