BCB to start preliminary camp Feb 23

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) preliminary prepared a 32-member Bangladesh squad for the upcoming cricket tournament of Emerging Cup-2017 patronised by Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
Bangladesh will host the eight-nation newly-introduced tournament, starting from March 15 to 26. Uprising Afghanistan, Nepal, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Hong Kong coupled with four Test playing nations-India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will also take part.
Considering the performance of the last NCL, DPL and BCL, BCB selectors have whittled the squad down 22 from 32. They will soon start a conditioning camp ahead of the 50-over tournament.
BCB selection panel chairman Minhajul Abedin Nannu said that they are trying to give a well-balanced team for the Emerging Cup.
Weve a High Performance (HP) squad, where there are some more U-23 players. Now we are analysing their performance as Emerging Cup will mostly be an international tournament, in where all the participating countries will send their stronger teams here, said Minhajul Abedin Nannu.
There is an age barrier in the tournament. Considering all the factors in minds, weve formed a 22-member Bangladesh squad. But we didnt yet to select four national team players, who will be included in the final squad of the Cup, Nannu told the reporters yesterday.
Well fix it after giving the squad for the upcoming away series. Weve asked to join 22 players for a conditioning camp. They all will practice from February 23, he added.
