Gouripur UP chairman held

Mymensingh: Police arrested Gouripur upazila parishad chairman Ahmad Tayebur Rahman Hiron from in front of the upazila parishad office early yesterday in connection with his alleged involvement in an arson attack, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive there and arrested Hiron, also joint convener of Mymensingh (North) district unit of BNP, while he was returning home at the dead of night, said Delwar Ahammad, officer-in-charge of Gouripur Police Station.
