Gold bars worth Tk 35-lakh seized

Customs officials seized gold bars weighing 714 grams worth Tk 35 lakh from a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday night, reports UNB.
The gold bars were seized from passenger named Pankaj Kumar who came from Bangkok by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. The flight landed at the airport at 7:50pm.
SM Sohel Rahman, joint commissioner of Dhaka Customs House, confirmed the gold seizure.
