There were no surprises in store as India, Sri Lanka and Ireland advanced to Super Six stage from Group A, while South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh made it from Group B after the end of the group phase.The spot of Bangladesh in Super Six ensured when Pakistan overpowered Scotland by six wickets in the last Group-B match.
Although Tigress finished their group stage with four points their qualification for the Super Six depends on the result of the match between Pakistan and Scotland. If Scotish would beat Pakistan in that case the points of the three teams would be equal. Then the net run-rate will decide the remaining two qualifiers. But the second option has not gone after Scotland were beat by Pakistan in Colombo yesterday.
