Denmark is keen to assist the development of the health sector of Bangladesh, according to Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim, reports UNB.
The Minister came up with the information while talking to reporters after a meeting with Danish Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther at the Secretariat yesterday.
During the visit, the Danish Ambassador also praised the government’s initiative of community clinics at the village level, economic enrichment, poverty reduction and empowerment of women.
The Health Minister urged the Danish Ambassador to help develop quality of the heath services for the people of Bangladesh.
Besides, Nasim also asked the authorities concerned to implement many development projects, taken by the ministry in the stipulated time. He came up with the urge while talking at a meeting over the progress of the development projects.
He also urged the authorities concerned to make the activities of the community clinics more dynamic and able.
