A new mobile phone facility - 'Voice Mail Service' - will be introduced in the country today allowing cell-phone users to send voice mail to each other, reports UNB.
Prime Minister's ICT adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy will officially inaugurate the service at 11 am by sending a voice mail to the chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) from Ganabhaban, BTRC secretary Md Sarwar Alam told the news agency.
Once the voice mail service is introduced, mobile phone users can send voice mail to other users in cheaper cost if they fail to make call to their expected users.
BTRC chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmood, chief executive officers of all mobile phone operators and senior BTRC officials will be present on the occasion at BTRC headquarters in the capital.
