Meat sellers in Dhaka will go for a six-day strike from today protesting what they said ‘widespread extortion at Gabtali cattle market’ as well as harassments.
It was announced by the Dhaka Metropolitan Meat Merchant Association yesterday by its advisor and secretary general of Bangladesh Meat Merchants’ Association Robiul Alam.
He said meat merchants would refrain from selling meat in Dhaka for six days from today.
