Ctg road accident kills college girl

CHITTAGONG: A college girl was killed in a road accident in Komol Munshir Hat area on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway under Patiya upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS.
The victim was identified as Popy Akter, 19, a-2nd-year (Humanities) student of Patiya Government College and daughter of Abdul Gofour, hailed from Fakirpara area of Komol Munshir Hat area under Patiya upazila.
Police said the accident took place when a speedy passenger bus coming from the Chittagong city knocked Popy in the area around 10 am, leaving her injured seriously.
Later, she was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared her dead.
The bus driver and helper along with the vehicle fled from the spot. A case was registered in this connection
