Two Sonali Bank guards hacked dead in Satkhira

Two night guards of the Kalaroa branch of Sonali Bank (SB) in Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira district were hacked to death by miscreants early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Jahangir and Afzal, both residents of Jhapaghata village of the upazila.
Kalaroa Police Station inspector (Investigation) Sheikh Shafiqur Rahman confirmed the murder.
Satkhira additional superintendent of police Mir Modasser Hossain said the reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.
Police suspected that miscreants might have killed the two night guards of the bank while they (miscreants) were trying to commit a robbery there, the ASP added.
A case was filed in this connection.
