BSF guns down cattle trader along Kurigram border

A Bangladeshi national was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Datbhanga border in Roumari upazila of Kurigram early yesterday, reports UNB. The victim was identified as Tulu Miah, 60, a resident of Kaoarchar village of the upazila. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Nayek Subedar Hasan Mahmud of Datbhanga BoP said BSF members from Gutalugaon camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders, including Tulu, while they were returning to Bangladesh with cattle from India around 4.30am, killing Tulu on the spot and injuring Sebat. Meanwhile, BGB has sent a letter to BSF, protesting the incident.
