3 abductors arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested 3 abductors along with a sophisticated pistol in Dewanganj upazila of the district early yesterday.
The RAB members also rescued two abducted persons in the drive.Following few incidents of abduction, a team of the elite force led by Company Commander Hayatul Islam Khan conducted raids in different char areas of the Dewanganj and Islampur upazilas of the district and nabbed Md Sajjat Hossain, 28, Md Anwar Hossain, 27, and Md Badal Sheikh, 35.
During the drive, conducted from February 8 to February 10, the RAB men also rescued Md Rani Miah, 24, son of Rafiqul Islam in Chhagalnaiya upazila and Abdul Al Farhad, 19, son of Abdul Karim at Daganbhuyan upazila under Feni district.RAB recovered a 7.65 bore foreign-made pistol with five rounds ammunition and two magazines, five mobile sets and ransom money Taka 16,450 from their possession.
